HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Try everything twice. On Madam's tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: "Tried everything twice...loved it both times!"

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. (Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches.)

3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him/her.

6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them at every opportunity.

11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance.

12. Lost time can never be found.

Honor This Day

Feel what a privilege it is to be alive today. Consider all
The possibilities available to you, right now.

See the wonder and the beauty all around you. Let yourself
Truly love who you are and where you are in this moment.

Sense the eagerness within you to get started, to make
Things happen, and to create value. That eagerness comes
From your genuine excitement about expressing yourself
Through your accomplishments.

Look at all the new ways that this day gives you to express
Who you are. Even the troubles, even the problems, and even
The obstacles give meaning to life because they give you
Something to build upon.

Life's many circumstances and situations give you a way to
Pull yourself up, and rise to a new level of being. Whatever
Comes your direction gives you a way to create value that
Will last beyond this day, value that will be with you
Always.

Honor this day, honor the possibilities in this day, honor
The love and the beauty in this day. Look around at all you
Have, and in this moment make it, in your own way, into
Something truly great.

~Ralph Marston~

GOD SAID............

If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I'm a Healer?

If you never went through difficulties,
how would you know that I'm a
Deliverer?

If you never had a trial,
how could you call yourself an overcomer?

If you never felt sadness,
how would you know that I'm a Comforter?

If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I'm forgiving?

 If you knew it all,
how would you know that I will answer your questions?

If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to your
Rescue?

If you never were broken, then how would you know that I can make you whole?

If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them?

If you never had any suffering,
then how would you know what Jesus went
Through?

If you never went through the fire, then how would you become pure?

If I gave you all things,
how would you appreciate them?

If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you?

If you had all power,
then how would you learn to depend on me?

If your life was perfect,
then what would you need Me for?

Gentleness

Non-violence is a very deep philosophy.
Not only does it require me to harm no one physically
but also to avoid harming anyone's self-respect.
Such an ethic requires tremendous awareness
and sensitivity.
When I have learned to be gentle with myself,
I can be the same with others.

Progress

Progress is made in steps. Be willing to take enough steps,
and you can get wherever you want.
Imagine walking to a destination that is one mile away.
The first step doesn't seem to take you very far,
though if you keep going you'll be there in half an hour.

When working toward a goal, the intermediate steps may seem tedious
and unfulfilling. Yet in reality, they are the very essence of fulfillment.
That fulfillment will be realized when the steps are all taken.
Keep going, and the achievement will be yours.
Whether the goal is modest or highly ambitious, taking sure and
steady steps will get you there. When you're willing to take
the necessary steps, there is no limit to where you can go.
Though the goal may seem distant, the pathway is not.
The first step is right in front of you now.

~Ralph Marston~

The way You Chooose To Live

Good fortune may sometimes bring success sooner than it otherwise would have come.
And bad luck may sometimes cause a temporary setback.
In the long run, though, success in life is not much affected by luck or by accidents.
It is based on the character with which you live from day to day, moment to moment.
In fact, success is not really defined by any particular point that you reach.
It is much more a matter of the way that you live.

In order to be successful, you do not need any particular circumstance or set of events.
Real success comes from living with purpose and meaning.

That's something that requires no one else's consent, assistance or permission.
It's something you can begin to do right here and now.

Fortune can bring you a fleeting windfall or a momentary setback.
The way you choose to live, though, is what brings true, lasting success.

Do You Hate Someone?

A kindergarten teacher has decided to let her class play a game.

The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes.

Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates,

So the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.

So when the day came, every child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes. The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags. After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended....

The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?". The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game. The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime???"

Moral of the story: Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so that you will not carry sins for a lifetime. Forgiving others is the best attitude to take!

True love is not loving a perfect person but loving an imperfect person perfectly!!

No day is Wasted

Living with purpose and clear focus helps you to understand
The value of being meaningfully focused. And aimlessly
Wandering with no clear focus can also help you to
Appreciate the power of a positive purpose.

Either way, life leads you surely, steadily toward your
Purpose. Whether you experience the pain of losing touch
With that purpose, or the joy of living in harmony with it,
You grow in understanding and appreciation.

No day, no experience, no encounter is really wasted.
Through the ups and downs, in the good times and in times of
Despair, you feel more intensely the longing to express who
You truly are.

The beauty of this day is not in its particulars. The beauty
Is that you can take it all in, whatever and however it may
Be, and add it to the substance of your being.

Whatever comes along, be thankful for the opportunity to
Pass through it. Whatever is, go with it and grow with it.

Your purpose cannot help but become stronger, as each moment
Passes. Feel that strength, and live it more fully, more
Authentically, day after day.

~Ralph Marston~

Be Joyful

Whatever you enjoy, you improve. Enjoy where you are,
and suddenly where you are has more value.
Enjoy the moment you're living.

And suddenly the moment offers new and positive possibilities.
Enjoy what you're doing. By so doing, you transform your effort
into a pathway to success and achievement.

You can always find a reason to be miserable.
But being miserable will accomplish nothing.
Being joyful, on the other hand, will put you in a positive,
 productive, effective frame of mind.
You'll be well positioned to accomplish and succeed.

Whatever this day may hold, find something to truly enjoy about it.
And you will have found your own best path forward.
~Ralph Marston~

~What Life is About~

Life isn't about keeping score.
It's not about how many friends you have
Or how accepted you are.
Not about if you have plans this weekend or if you're alone.
It isn't about who you're dating, who you used to date,
How many people you've dated, or if you haven't been
With anyone at all.
It isn't about who you have kissed,
It isn't about who your family is or
How much money they have
Or what kind of car you drive.
Or where you are sent to school.
It's not about how beautiful or ugly you are.
Or what clothes you wear, what shoes you have on,
Or what kind of music you listen to.
It's not about if your hair is blonde, red, black, or brown,
Or if your skin is too light or too dark.
Not about what grades you get how smart you are, how smart
Everybody else thinks you are, or how smart
Standardized tests say you are.
It's not about what clubs you're in or how good
You are at "your" sport.
It's not about representing your whole being on a piece of
Paper and seeing who will "accept the written you."
Life just isn't.
Life is about who you love and who you hurt.
It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposely.
It's about keeping or betraying trust.
It's about friendship, used as a sanctity or as a weapon.
It's about what you say and mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening.
It's about starting rumors and contributing to petty gossip.
It's about what judgments you pass and why.
And who your judgments are spread to.
It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention.
It's about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge.
It's about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow
And spreading it.
But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison
Other people's hearts in such a way that could have
Never occurred alone.
Only you choose the way those hearts are affected, and those
Choices are what life's all about.

Just Beyond Impossible

When it seems like everything is breaking down, the time is
Ripe for a real breakthrough. In turmoil there is great
Opportunity.

When the only choice is to find a new way forward, you're in
A great position to find that way. When you have nothing
Left to fall back on, you'll figure out how to move ahead.

What seems impossible is impossible only from your current
Perspective. Just beyond impossible is the chance to jump up
To a higher level.

Imagine what you could accomplish if you were ten times as
Effective as you are right now. When circumstances are
Compelling enough, you are completely capable of making such
A leap.

What challenges you, improves you. Whatever challenges you
To the extreme can push you into a breakthrough.

Are you ready to move beyond impossible? Make your reasons
Meaningful enough, so that you have no other choice, and you
Will.

~Ralph Marston~

Heal The Hurt

When you blame others for your troubles, you give them
Control of your life. Free yourself from your own anger,
From your own resentment, and you'll find vastly more room
For serenity and abundance.

It's bad enough if someone has wronged you in the past. Is
It of any value for you to continue suffering from it?

Your best strategy is not to prolong the pain, or expand
Upon it. Your best strategy is to get past it as quickly as
Possible.

Whether or not anyone deserves your forgiveness is not the
Point. The point is, you deserve to forgive, to take back
Control of your life, so that you can live abundantly.

Your forgiveness may not even make a difference to those you
Forgive, if they're even aware of it. For you, it makes all
The difference in the world.

When it is you who is feeling the hurt, it is also you who
Can heal the hurt. Heal the hurt, and move past the pain,
With forgiveness.

 Ralph Marston

Never Give Up

One day a young lady was driving along with her father.
They came upon a storm, and the young lady asked her father, What should I do?"
He said "keep driving".  Cars began to pull over to the side, the storm was
Getting worse.

"What should I do." The young lady asked?

"Keep driving," her father replied.

On up a few feet, she noticed that eighteen wheelers were also pulling over.
She told her dad, "I must pull over, I can barely see ahead.  It is
Terrible, and everyone is pulling over!"

Her father told her, "Don't give up, just keep driving!"

Now the storm was terrible, but she never stopped driving, and soon she
Could see a little more clearly. After a couple of miles she was again on
Dry land, and the sun came out.

Her father said, "Now you can pull over and get out."

She said "But why now?"

He said "When you get out, look back at all the people that gave up and are
Still in the storm, because you never gave up your storm is  now over.

This is a testimony for anyone who is going through "hard times".

Just because everyone else, even the strongest, gives up. You don't have
To...if you keep going, soon your storm will be over and the sun will shine
Upon your face again.

This story touched me! I hope it touched you, too !!!

Longing For Goodness

You've made mistakes and yet you are able to recognize
those mistakes for what they are, and to learn from them.
There are times when you stumble, and wander away from the path,
yet you're always able to get up and find your way back.
There is within you the longing for truth, for goodness,
 for excellence, substance, and integrity.
Though your actions sometimes contradict and
compromise that longing, it never goes away.

The very best of who you are is always somewhere within you.
Choose often to connect with it, and to let it resonate
throughout the details of your life.

As each moment unfolds, remember the good and valuable
things of which you are capable. Pay attention to that longing for
goodness, and follow where it leads.

Hold in your heart those times when you've experienced
how beautiful and blessed life can be.
Treasure and strengthen the part of you that draws pure joy
 from those moments.

You have known the goodness of life and you know that
it is as close to you as you wish to make it.
Choose to keep it ever close by.

Go Back

Sometimes the best way to move forward is to go back. Go back,
into the experience of your life, and remind yourself why.

Go back and remember why you're where you are, why you're doing
whatever you're doing. Go back and remember what truly matters
to you.

In your mind, go back to a time and a place when life felt positively magical.
Realize that the magical feeling is still very much a part of you.

See that now, too, is magical. Understand that your best possibilities
are with you even now.

Go back and appreciate all the good things you have ever had.
From a deep and profound sense of gratitude,
 know that
in this very time is the potential for more joy than ever before.

Go back, and see that all the goodness that ever was, still is.
Now, carry all that goodness with you as you continue to move positively forward.

~Ralph Marston~

Mother

When you're a child she walks before you,
To set an example.
When you're a teenager she walks behind you
To be there should you need her.
When you're an adult she walks beside you
So that as two friends you can enjoy life together..

For those of us, whose Mom is no longer with us, a lovely poem
Your Mother Is Always With You...
Your mother is always with you...
She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.
She's the cool hand on your brow
when you're not well.
Your mother lives inside your laughter.
She's crystallized in every tear drop.
She's the place you came from,
your first home...
She's the map you follow
with every step that you take.
She's your first love
and your first heart break...
and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space...
Not even death...
will ever separate you
from your mother...
You carry her inside of you...

Ain,t Nothing' You Can Do

There "ain't nothin' you can do" about quite a few situations!
Andit's true with people, too. There ain't nothin' you can do
about the Way they are, so it is fruitless to try to change them
 into something Else.
You are wise to learn to accept them without conditions,
Understand them the best you can and love them anyway.
For they Probably won't change much and there just ain't nothin'
you can do About it.

Sam Keen Christine said, "We come to love, not by finding a perfect
Person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly." It's
All about acceptance.

~Steve Goodier~

Nothing Wrong

There is nothing wrong. There is simply what is, and what you
Choose to make of it.

If you spend all your energy on judgment, there's no energy
Left for progress. And judgment doesn't pay the bills.

You have the opportunity to create something beautiful. It
Starts with accepting and valuing what already is.

Life's energy comes to you, and you can do with it whatever
You please. Very little of what comes your way is under your
Control before it gets to you, but every bit of what you do
With it is yours to decide.

Instead of fighting battles that are already over, simply
Accept that things are as they are. Then look closely with a
Positive purpose, and you'll find plenty of opportunities
For creating meaningful value.

Life is bringing you amazing possibilities right now. Let
Them come, let them be, and find joy in making the very best
Of them.
 Ralph Marston

To move ahead you need to believe in yourself...

And exercise what's been taught them.

When I Negotiated with God

God came and asked me for a wish, I told GOD “Let all my friends be healthy and happy forever!"

GOD said: But for 4 days only!

I said: Yes, let them be a Spring Day, Summer Day, Autumn Day, and Winter Day.

GOD said: 3 days...

I said: Yes, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

GOD said: No, 2 days!

I said: Yes, a Bright Day (Daytime) and Dark Day (Night-time) .

GOD said: No, just 1 day!

I said: Yes!

GOD asked: Which day?

I said: Every Day in the living years of all my friends!

GOD laughed, and said: You know how to negotiate. But since you are praying and asking happiness for your friends, I can't refuse. I love everyone who thinks of others first, so don't you worry.

Socialism

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that
he had never failed a single student before but had once failed
an entire class.

That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one
would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment
in this class on socialism. All grades would be averaged and
everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail
and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.

The students who studied hard were upset and the students
who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little
had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided
they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D!

No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and
name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one
would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them
that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the
reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when
government takes the reward away, no one will try or
want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.

What a profound short little paragraph that says it all
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the
wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without
working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the
government does not first take from somebody else.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to
work because the other half is going to take care of them,
and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good
to work because somebody else is going to get what they
work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.
You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Jump Up

A challenge is a chance to jump up to a higher level of
Performance. Take that opportunity and run with it.

If you haven't been as effective as you know you can be, a
Difficult challenge will change that. Because the challenge
Will leave you with no other choice.

Yes, it's inconvenient and uncomfortable and just plain hard
Work. But think of what will happen when you choose to run
Out and embrace it.

You'll make yourself stronger, more capable, with greater
Discipline, focus and effectiveness. Not only will you
Create something of great value, you'll then be perfectly
Positioned to create even greater value on top of that.

You'll run faster when you're chasing after something, or
When there's something chasing you. You'll discover that you
Can do it, and you'll discover how great it feels to give
Your very best.

When a challenge jolts you awake, jump out of your slumber
And hit the ground running. Be pleasantly amazed at where
You can take yourself when there's a challenge pushing you
Forward.
~Ralph Marston~

Drop the Pretense

One of the most painful types of conflict is also the easiest conflict to avoid.
It is the conflict you have with yourself.

When the person inside is in conflict with the person you are on
the outside, it drains your energy and damages your credibility.
Yet in an instant, you can be rid of that conflict.

All you have to do is be completely honest about who you are.
Drop the pretense, and you rid yourself of a heavy burden.

Stop pretending to be someone you're not.
For even if you could manage to be convincing at it,
you would gain nothing of real value.

That real value lives in the authentic person you are.
In your sincere and deeply felt passions you will find life's most
 delightful and fulfilling treasures.

There's no need to live in conflict with yourself for even one moment longer.
Let the true you shine through, and fulfill the wonderful possibilities that
 are uniquely yours.

True Happiness

True happiness may be sought,
Caught, or thought,
But never bought.
Happiness is the result of being
Too busy to be unhappy.

No one can define happiness.
You have to be unhappy to
Understand it.
Genuine happiness is when a wife
Sees a double chin on her husband's
Old girlfriend.

Happiness does not come from
What you have.
But what you are.
Happiness is where you find it
And seldom where you seek it.

Happiness is home brewed.
The surest path to happiness
Is in losing yourself in a cause
Greater than yourself.

The place to be happy is here,
The time to be happy is now,
The way to be happy is to
Make others so.

Challenges

There isn't a single person in the world that hasn't
Had to struggle with something or overcome
Difficulties at some point in life.  We all face
Challenges and adversity.

At this very moment you may be facing one, whether
They're related to money, health , children, family
Or careers.  It is all part of being alive.

Recognize that obstacles are just part of your
Journey.  Don't let them stop you and never give up.
Instead, think of them as milestones that once
Passed will bring you closer to your goals.

Remember that with every challenge passed, you are a
Little stronger, a little wiser and more prepared for
The rest of your journey.

MAKE IT TRUE

What you tell yourself most frequently, you will believe.
What you truly believe, you will incorporate into every
Aspect of your life.
It doesn't matter if it is objectively true or not. What you
Continue to tell yourself, day after day, becomes true for
You and has a profound effect on your life.
Great power lives in the fact that you can choose what to
Tell yourself, again and again, in the thousands of moments
That make up each day. With focus and intention, you can
Upgrade your beliefs about yourself.
You can upgrade your beliefs about what is possible for you.
And by so doing, you will in fact expand your access to the
Very best of your possibilities.
You'll go precisely as far as you believe you will go. So
there's every reason to believe the very best.
With what you tell yourself, choose to sell yourself, again
And again, on your best possibilities. For when you
Consistently believe something to be true in your life, you
Will indeed make it true.

A Little Thing Called Love

Love is a many splendored thing, they say,
And I believe it when you looked my way,
Out of the blue, things seemed to happen
By chance or destiny, is the question.

Living my life so long, without knowing your existence,
Then came a day we felt each others presence,
Guess what's meant to be will always find a way,
Love creeps into hearts and decides to stay.

A love so exquisite, yet so intricate,
In a world of only "you and I"
A love we can't even demonstrate,
A secret we have to keep for life.

I love you, honey, and its from my heart,
I hope you know that you are no beggar from the start,
You make me fly without wings,
You make my heart wants to sing.

Every moment I spent with you,
Is every one of my dreams coming true,
More than words, I want to show you how I feel,
Someday, some place, sometime, I will.

Love is a journey for two,
Step by step, me and you,
The future we can't see,
Let love lead the way for you and me.

Mood and the Heart

Mind and Mood can adversely affect the cardiovascular system..

Heart disease can be depressing literally. About 50 percent of hospitalised heart patients have some depressive symptoms, and upto 20 per cent develop major depression, and depression affects heart health.

Patients who are depressed at the time of hospitalisation for heart conditions are two to five times more likely than average to die or to suffer further cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, or severe chest pain in the following year.

Mind and mood can affect the cardiovascular system directly by creating a state of emergency readiness, in which stress harmone levels rise, blood vessels constrict and heartbeat speeds up. If a person is seriously depressed or anxious, the emergency response becomes constant, damaging the blood vessels and making the heart less sensitive to signals telling it to slow down or speed up as the body’s demands change, reports the Harvard Mental Health Letter.

Research suggests that the type of antidepressants called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) may benefit depressed heart patients and possibly reduce their risk for future heart problems.. Cardiac rehabilitation programs that sustain patients’ morale and urge them to take better care of themselves may also help reduce the damage depression done to the heart.

Its hard to determine the precise cause and effect in the relationship between depression and heart disease. Symptoms may be similar, and the damage depression does to the cardiovascular system may trigger further depression. Still, the connection is real.. Cardiologists should ask their patients about stress and depression, and patients should not hesitate to bring up these subjects.

So… take care…keep your Mind & Mood cool always

See It Through

When you're up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it's vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!

Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don't let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!

Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you're beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don't give up, whatever you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through!

Power To Tolerate

You have the power to tolerate anyone and any situation.

But tolerance is not just suffering in silence.

It means going beyond any personal discomfort you may feel,

and giving a gift to whom ever you would tolerate.

Give your time, attention, understanding, compassion,

care - all are gifts, which paradoxically, you also receive

 in the process of giving.

And, as you do, you will experience your own self esteem

and inner strength grow. In this way you can turn

 tolerance into strength.

Sick Leave Policy

TO: ALL EMPLOYEES
SUBJECT: SICK LEAVE POLICY

* SICKNESS
No excuse...We will no longer accept your doctor's statement as proof. We believe that if you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

* AN OPERATION
We are no longer allowing this practice. We wish to discourage any thoughts that you may need an operation. We believe that as long as you are an employee here, you will need all of whatever you have and should not consider having anything removed. We hired you as you are, and to have anything removed would certainly make you less than we bargained for.

* DEATH
Other than your own. This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for them, and we are sure that someone else can attend to the arrangements. However, if the funeral can be held in the late afternoon, we will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently let you leave 1 hour early, provided your share of the work is ahead enough to keep the job going in your absence.

* Your own death
This will be accepted as an excuse. However, we require at least two weeks notice as we feel it is your duty to train your replacement.

* ALSO
Entirely too much time is being spent in the restroom. In the future, we will follow the practice of going in alphabetical order. For instance, those whose names begin with "A" will go from 8:00-8:15, and so on. If you're unable to go at your time, it will be necessary to wait until the next day when your time comes again.

We appreciate your cooperation.

The Colors of Friendship

Once upon a time the colors of the world started to quarrel. All claimed that they were the best; the most important, the most useful, the favorite

GREEN said:

“Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of life and of hope. I was
chosen for grass, trees and leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority.”

BLUE interrupted:
“You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and the sea. It is the
water that is the basis of life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace, you would all be nothing.”

YELLOW chuckled:
“You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the moon is yellow, the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a sunflower, the whole world starts to smile. Without me there would be no fun.”

ORANGE started next to blow her trumpet:
“I am the color of health and strength. I may be scarce, but I am precious for I serve the needs of human life. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and papayas. I don’t hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one gives another thought to any of you.”

RED could stand it no longer, he shouted out:
“I am the ruler of all of you. I am blood - life’s blood! I bring fire into
the blood. I am willing to fight for a cause. I am the color of danger and of
bravery. Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon. I am the color of passion and of love, the red rose, the poinsettia and the poppy.”

PURPLE rose up to his full height:
He was very tall and spoke with great pomp: “I am the color of royalty and power. Kings, cheifs, and bishops have always chosen me, for I am the sign of authority and wisdom. People do not question me! They listen and obey.”

Finally INDIGO spoke, much more quietly than all the others, but with just as much determination: “Think of me. I am the color of silence. You hardly notice me, but without me you all become superficial. I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water. You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace.”

So the colors went on boasting,
each convinced of his or her own superiority.
Their quarreling became louder and louder.
Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightening.
Thunder rolled and boomed. Rain started to pour down relentlessly.
The colors crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.
In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak: “You foolish colors,
fighting amongst yourselves, each trying to dominate the rest.
Don’t you know that you were each made for a special purpose,
unique and different? Join hands with one another and come to me.”
Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined hands.
The rain continued:
“From now on, when it rains, each of you will stretch across the sky in a great bow of color as a reminder that you can all live in peace.
The Rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow.”
And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky, let us remember to appreciate one another.

Be careful

Be careful do not speak
For some are strong
And some are weak

Be careful choose wise
For some are true and
Some just tell lies

Be careful of who you love
For some take for granted of
What we were sent from above

Be careful, Be very aware
For some takes our love and
Some doesn't really care

Be careful of what you thought
You have to gain
For some will say I Love You
And turn around and leave you in pain

Be careful do turn and run
For some will love you and
Some will say it was only for fun!!!!
